It starts with the chocobros because they’re always together and he gets used to give them different names to call them. Prompto loves being called “darling”, Gladio and Noct groan when he calls them “cupcake” and “kitten” but they actually like it
but then it slips, and he starts doing it with kinda everyone
it’s still ok when he calls Iris “doll”, because it’s just Gladio’s sister, but it becomes embarrassing when Luna becomes “honey” and Cor becomes “my dear”
and then one day he’s with the king and accidentally says “thank you sweetheart”
and that’s the story of how Ignis is never taken seriously ever again
This made me happy
i 100% support this, i bet Regis felt extra happy that day because it’s been so long since anyone’s called him sweetheart!
